BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- Avaya, the business communications provider, announced that it has acquired Traverse Networks. Acquisition terms were not disclosed. Traverse Networks was a privately-held maker of enterprise mobility applications for wireless environments and represents an opportunity for Avaya to extend its Intelligent Communications product line to the edge of the enterprise. Avaya says it expects to have the acquisition and technology integrated by mid-2007.
